Within an analysis, there are a number of settings that can be modified. The buttons at the top of the analysis pane are:
- Aggregation: Toggles the aggregation type between Average, Sum and Count for numeric variables:
In the case of categorical variables, the aggregation type can be Rate or Count:
- Compare: This allows a Time period comparison (comparing two specified time periods) or Group comparison (comparing mutually exclusive data populations).

- Custom Filter: This will allow for additional filters to slice and dice the data being analyzed (it is the logical equivalent of adding a 'where clause' to a SQL query).
- Manage Columns: The check box allows a selection of columns that should be included and excluded from the analysis.
On selecting a column, appropriate columns settings are displayed along with an icon for additional settings. For numeric fields, this includes the ability to bin the column and specify bin type:
